Looking over all the internet to find how to fix this.
I got into research overdrive that night. I use a 1 GBps wired connection for the computer to my router and also a 1 GBps wired connection from said router to the cable company modem. I could get up to 8.75 MB/s on that connection theoretically. Mad could be a better description of the moment. But when I saw my client downloading 2.5 MB/s on a 70 Mbps connection, I got intrigued to say the least.
Recently I was downloading the latest patch for Apex Legends. But we have to live with it no matter what (for now maybe? who knows). I have Origin installed but have not used it directly anymore since. If we really want, I can start taking screenshots and I can install wireshark and other IT programs I've used in class to help prove some thingsĬ:\WINDOWS\system32>tracert 23.192.239.111 IT student here and even i can tell that SOMETHING is going on with your download speeds EA. Usually i'm in the 60-80 MB/s range MINIMUM on Steam and Firefox as I've seen Blizzard's client hit 100 MB/s no problem (As caps pre-loaded patches at 100 MB/s but their regular patch scheduleoften exceedes 100 MB/s). Again when I'm NOT using Origin I can get above 20 MB/s.
You're proving my point about you guys playing the blame game. LinkĪlso it's funny that you mention my ISP, as they stated that they've gotten a few calls about the same issue and after they checked, my ISP ALSO suggested that it was your servers. There's 10 examples but maybe you want more? Link Link Link. wait what about this SEARCH? There's at LEAST 4+ instances of people complaining about the speeds and that's just on the EA forums! Maybe this Reddit post and other website posts will prove to you that the problem's more widespread that you guys at EA would lead people to believe. It's all those numbers taken from EA at the work place or was that doctored? If you look at this thread, this one, or maybe this one. Over the internet sometimes it's hard to tell someone's tone.
